Hospitality Offers and Privileges for Trade Exhibitions staged in Hong Kong

For all recurrent trade exhibitions with gross exhibition space over 1,819 sq. m.

Business Right Here! Buyer Booster Campaign
To help exhibition organizers attract buyers, the Buyer Booster campaign will offer an array of special promotions on airfare, shopping, dining, transportation and leisure activities to registered buyers of participating events. "Business Right Here!" campaign operates annually during the peak show periods -- 1 March to 30 June and 1 September to 15 December.

Online Event Calendar
To support your promotion efforts, all upcoming trade exhibitions to be staged in Hong Kong can now be listed under the "Convention and Exhibition Calendar" on the MEHK website on a complimentary basis.

Leisure Tips Portal
You can provide useful tips on leisure activities in Hong Kong to overseas participants by linking the tailor-made online resource portal "Leisure Tips for Exhibition Visitors" directly on your event website.

Lamp Post Bunting Scheme
To provide publicity for trade exhibitions held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), organizers can apply for designated lamppost bunting through the endorsement of the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB).

The application only applies to lamp posts along designated areas in Wan Chai. For lamp posts in other areas/districts, please contact the corresponding "District Lands Offices" directly. The District Lands Office has full discretion to allocate the designated lamp posts for any events including those not being held in HKCEC, if required.

Welcome Package

  • Complimentary copies of the Hong Kong Street Map.
  • Bonus shopping/dining coupons from Quality Tourism Services merchandise partners and/or "Business Right Here!" partners, entrance discounts for museums and theme parks.
  • A welcome souvenir.
  • A welcome message to be broadcasted in the Multi-media Visitor Information Display System of the HKTB, located at Hong Kong International Airport.
  • A choice of traditional lion dance performance or 2-piper performance by the Hong Kong Police Band to be staged at one of the official functions of the trade exhibition.

For recurrent trade exhibitions with gross exhibition space over 1,819 sq. m. and over 10,000 overseas participants

Dedicated Immigration Counter Scheme
Thanks to the support from the Immigration Department of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Airport Authority Hong Kong, a dedicated Immigration counter is available at the Hong Kong International Airport to facilitate immigration clearance of overseas visitors attending mega trade exhibitions in Hong Kong.

Exhibition participants from overseas have to present a valid buyer's badge, exhibitor's badge or related document issued by the event organizer. HKTB will set up directional signs and have staff at hand to help show participants where the dedicated Immigration counters are located.

Visitor Services Counter Scheme
A Visitor Services Counter will provide tourist information to exhibition visitors during the show period. It will be located at the show ground and be manned by HKTB Visitor Services officers.

Whether you are in the planning stage or are about to launch your show, HKTB provides customized support to exhibition organizers launching new exhibitions^ in Hong Kong. Please contact us to set up a time to meet and discuss.

Remarks: ^ A new exhibition is industry specific in nature, with gross exhibition space of over 1,819 sq. m. attendance of 2,000 or more overseas visitors, and is held in Hong Kong for the first or second/third consecutive year(s).
