Hello everyone! I’m excited to share with you on Hong Kong’s vibrant business scenes, in my new capacity as General Manager, Mega Events, MICE and Cruise division of the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB).
In 2025, Hong Kong is where the world comes together for business events and mega events. From fintech and financial summits to iconic arts and sporting events, Super March proves why Hong Kong is the perfect meeting place.
With a beginning filled with great momentum and new offerings, the HKTB team is also strengthening our outreaching and showcasing to our strategic partners worldwide, so that they get first-hand experiences with Hong Kong’s greatest and latest, especially with the new landmark Kai Tak Sports Park.
We are also welcoming a record-breaking alliance of local and mainland Convention Ambassadors. Together with their influential power, it’s our mission to strengthen the city’s position as the world’s meeting place.
Next up, we will soon showcase the city’s unmatched position as a cultural melting pot of East-meets-West. Stay tuned and I hope to see you all soon.

From fintech and financial summits to iconic arts and sporting events, Super March proves why Hong Kong is the perfect meeting place. This year, the Hong Kong Sevens debuted at the brand-new Kai Tak Sports Park, while Consensus, the world’s leading blockchain event, expanded beyond North America to make its mark in Hong Kong. World-class venues, strong network of industry experts, and east-meets-west appeal make Hong Kong a top MICE destination. During Super March, events like Hong Kong Sevens and Art Basel energised the city, blending business with sports, pop culture, and the arts for an immersive experience.
The return of Economist Impact’s Technology for Change Asia conference for the second time in a bigger scale was particularly meaningful, as the HKTB played a role in bringing the event to our shores and offered enhanced hospitality, such as a VIP tram tour that delighted participants. Watch the event video to see how Hong Kong impressed star speaker Brian Cox and the event organiser.
In February, representatives of the International Association of Professional Congress Organisers (IAPCO) took a fresh look at Hong Kong’s MICE development, visiting award-winning venues, top-notch hotels and the new Kai Tak Sports Park. Knowledge sharing mixed with unique local experiences such as visiting the locally born panda cubs at Ocean Park, playing mahjong and touring heritage attractions in Old Town Central, all helped to convince them of Hong Kong’s capabilities in hosting congresses. Check out the video to see how Hong Kong makes for a vibrant congress destination through the eyes of IAPCO friends. Learn more here.
In the upcoming ITB China 2025, the HKTB will again rally trade partners to showcase Hong Kong’s unmatched MICE capabilities and destination attributes to more than 15,000 attendees and over 1,000 selected buyers attending the show.
The new term of the Hong Kong Convention Ambassadors programme has been launched with a record-breaking number of over 170 Hong Kong Convention Ambassadors. With the expanded alliance, the Hong Kong Convention Ambassador Business Forum and Networking Luncheon was held on March 24, through which 39 prestigious senior association executives from the Mainland experienced Hong Kong’s unique strengths in hosting business events and mingled with Hong Kong Convention Ambassador and other stakeholders to explore collaboration opportunities.
During their stay, the leaders from the Mainland has also taken the opportunity to visit Hong Kong’s latest venues, attend executive seminars, enjoy East-meets-West experience from horseracing party to Cantonese opera workshops. Watch the video to check out their fruitful itinerary and exhilarating moments in town.
In the second quarter of the year, major business events will again collide with festive mega events around town, promising to boost high-yield visitations to our city. On top of InnoEx, Hong Kong Web3 Festival, WTCF HK Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit and more events in April, from May onwards, there will be Herbalife Asia Pacific Extravaganza 2025 in May and the International Society for Stem Cell Research 2025 Annual Meeting in June, among more than a dozen sizable business events. Check out more business events in the pipeline here.
