Hong Kong Remixes Business Events with Wine & Dine Festival 


The annual flagship “Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival” was enhanced this year (23-26 October) under the theme “REMIX. BEST OF ALL WORLDS.” Meetings and Exhibitions Hong Kong (MEHK) took the opportunity to solidify Hong Kong’s reputation as a world-class epicurean capital and premier destination for business and leisure.

On top of engaging convention and exhibition visitors to join in the festival, MEHK hosted the annual top agents celebration at the festival’s Tasting Room. Over 80 travel agents from nine strategic markets were invited to join in, as one of the key highlights of a mega familiarisation trip and new product updates of Incentive Playbook 2.0, all curated to elevate Hong Kong’s appeal for attractive high-yield MICE tourism and maximise the impact of mega events.

Top Agents Celebrate with Master Chefs’ Tasting Menu at Gala Dinner 

As a token of appreciation to over 80 top agents across nine markets – Chinese Mainland, India, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and The Philippines – for making Hong Kong the destination of choice for meeting & incentive groups for the past year, MEHK hosted the prestigious “Toast to Success: Hong Kong Top Travel Agent Awards Celebration & Gala Dinner”, where senior government officials presented awards to the top agents in recognition of their vital contributions to promoting Hong Kong.

An achievement video was created to celebrate their success. Let’s check out how they together curated impeccable itineraries and inspired 515 groups and delighted 39,000 happy travellers.

Beyond celebrating excellence in MICE business, the event was a fiesta of music performance and an exclusive tasting journey spotlighting a remix of culinary excellence at the Tasting Room. Top agents and guests indulged in an unprecedented ten-hand collaborative dinner by five celebrated chefs—a sensory spectacle that embodied the "REMIX. BEST OF ALL WORLDS" theme. The exquisite Cantonese feast that redefined the boundaries of Chinese cuisine enhanced with wine pairings was a nod to the city’s status as both a global gastronomic hub and MICE powerhouse, showcasing that fine dining and business blend seamlessly.

“Incentive Playbook 2.0: New Discovery” Product Update

Coinciding with the Festival, MEHK unveiled the upgraded “Hong Kong Incentive Playbook 2.0: New Discovery” on 24 October at a gathering at Ocean Park Marriott Hotel, attended by over 300 agents and industry partners. The brand new Playbook 2.0 delivers two new themes —Cruise and Empowerment— and more than 200 new and unique experiences, from fencing workshops and billiard masterclasses to tours of grand auction houses, iconic movie sets and traditional Chinese temples. These action-packed new experiences highlight Hong Kong’s capacity to ensure every moment in the city is filled with excitement and rewards for business travellers. Up the Game for your Team!

Mega Familiarisation Trip for Itineraries Inspiration

To celebrate the launch of the Playbook, HKTB curated a Playbook-inspired itinerary for travel agents. The tailored familiarisation trip from 22 to 27 October offered them a taste of the new incentive products in town, delivering inspiration in creating itineraries that will attract more incentive travellers to Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival offers a cultural experience that blends East and West to corporate groups. The upgraded Hong Kong Incentive Playbook 2.0 has provided insights into many new tourism resources which will help enterprises better plan future MICE travels.
