Tai O Lookout

To delve into the heart of Tai O fishing village, taste the home-made local specialty of shrimp paste at Tai O Lookout, the glass-roofed restaurant situated on the first floor of Tai O Heritage Hotel, which is named after the guard tower where the marine police were stationed to guard against pirate activities. The rooftop is now transformed into a restaurant with historical décor, housing the wood-carved furniture previously belonging to China Tee Club, with its vibe and flavour revived here.
Built in 1902, the Tai O Heritage Hotel was once the Tai O Police Station and was declared a heritage building by the Antiquities Advisory Board in 2010. UNESCO-Awarded Tai O Heritage Hotel is a unique venue for everything from team dinners to cocktail receptions and corporate events, with signature dishes that will leave guests with a lasting impression.
