Hong Kong is a technological hub that attracts researchers and engineers from both Chinese Mainland and countries all around the world. This makes Hong Kong a great place to host this event. Hong Kong has the best universities in Asia with a very deep talent pool and great talent about generative AI in all the universities. SIGGRAPH was hosted in Hong Kong twice. There has been a great progress in generative AI and neural networks since then. 2025 is the best time to host SIGGRAPH in Asia, in Hong Kong again.
Prof Taku Komura
Chair, SIGGRAPH Asia 2025
Hong Kong is a neutral place to do business. Hong Kong provides a trusted hub for contracts, negotiations and arbitration. These are very critical in order to get deals done. Hong Kong is a marketplace for products and services to regional businesses in post-production, animation and content creation. The market aspect of Hong Kong makes SIGGRAPH Hong Kong special. That's why I come here, and that's why it's valuable.
